What inspired emoji-fu?
Emoji-fu is created by an avid user of the Apple iPhone 3G as well as Twitter micro-blogging service. He finds that using emoji on Twitter presents a much more fun and creative way to express Twitter's question, "What are you doing?". Emoji-fu is intended as a service to enable the display of iPhone's emoji on your usual browser.
Why doesn't Emoji-fu work on password protected Twitter profile?
Emoji-fu is in its infant stages and we think that handling passwords takes a bit more trusts from both parties. You wouldn't want to give your password to a new service and we would like to focus on building more enhancements into emoji-fu for now rather than handling usernames and passwords. We will support password-protected profiles once we get the momentum going. Your patience in this matter is much appreciated.
My Twitter profile is not password-protected but it still didn't worked. Why?
Please checked that you've entered your Twitter username correctly with no spaces. If you're really sure that is correct; send an e-mail to
support [at] emojifu.com together with your twitter username and we'll take a look.
Do you support any other emoji sets?
No. Currently, Emoji-fu only works for Apple iPhone's emoji character sets.
Do you support any other micro-blogging service besides Twitter?
Not at this moment but if there's a specific service you would like us to add - send a request to
addservice [at] emojifu.com. If enough people requests for it, we will difinitely consider adding it. In the meantime, you can check out
Emoji-fu Browser Button for on-demand translation.
Any plans for a Twitter client with emoji support?
Not at this moment.
Do you have a privacy policy?
Yes. Please refer to our
Terms of Use to find out how we handle the information of your twitter username and also status updates.
Is this service free?
Yes. Emoji-fu is offered as a free service and will be so as long as it's running.
What is taking you so long to reply my e-mails?
While we strive to answer your e-mails as soon as possible, Emoji-fu is very much a personal side project of someone who has a dayjob. Hence, your reply might be a little late sometimes but it'll come. In the meantime, perhaps you can post on the
blog and see if others can help with your question.
